Arlington Garden Club District 2 Texas
Time & Location
About the Event
The Arlington Garden Club is the oldest open membership garden club in the state of Texas! We were established in 1926 and have been meeting ever since. For the last several decades we have met at the Historic Fielder Museum located at 1616 W Abram Street in Arlington, Tx. Over the years, we have assumed responsibility for the maintenance of all the flower beds on the property with the exception of the Monarch Waystation which is operated by the Master Naturalists. We are currently in the process of converting the old Rose Garden on the north side of the museum to a bird habitat. Construction will begin Spring of 2019.
Our mission is to stimulate the love of gardening by example and by sharing horticulture knowledge with the entire community; to aid in the protection of our natural resources and to encourage civic beautification.
If you are interested in all things gardening, come to one of our meetings and see what we have to offer. We meet the 1st Sunday of each month Sep. to May at 2:30 PM. There is always an interesting presentation to be heard or workshop to attend. The food and fellowship is great also.
